Anti Femicide March
In 2019 we joined our Feminista family to march in #TotalShutdownKE at this point 150 women and girls had been killed just because they were seen as a lesser gender to cis men. In 2020 we marched again in the #Usikimye march this time not only were publicly known perpetrators going scot free but 139 women and girls were murdered.
Today in 2024 we are asking you once again to come join us and march because our lives are human lives.
Queer Republic Anniversary Picnic
In Nairobi, two years after we all came together to march in protest for young queer high schoolers who were being discriminated against by the CAS for Education, we invite you all to come join us for a chill event at the Nairobi Arboretum.
We will celebrate two years of our solidarity, two years of being brave. We will sit and breathe and eat cake. We will show each other love. Most importantly we will argue and dream about futures together.

In this online group therapy space curated with Queerwell, Queer Republic invites members and community to come together to do healing in the only way that makes sense right now in Africa, and this is collective healing.
